More than 200 caricatures of managers and players
In 2012 the football UEFA EURO Tournament takes place in Poland and Ukrayne. Portuguese sports newspaper "A Bola" published a special magazine dedicated to it featuring my caricatures of managers and players (line-up) of each participating national team. 208 caricatures made from January to May. Several others (about 50) were dismissed due to injuries or other problems with the players.
This isn't new to me...
Indeed, in 2010 I made more than 400 (!) caricatures for the FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 held in South Africa. I love these projects. You have to combine artistic work with mass production timeline. In the process you realize you can't create 200 masterpieces but you'll have to settle to a lower standard: if you can't give 100% of you on each caricature, go for 80/90%, or else you'll go crazy.
